Jon Talley founded Frontier Structural Engineering on a simple philosophy: success is in serving well. With 20 years of structural engineering experience across California and Colorado, Jon brings deep technical expertise and a collaborative approach to every project.
Jon holds the Structural Engineer (SE) license — the highest credential in the field — in California, alongside Professional Engineer (PE) licenses in both California and Colorado. His career spans commercial high-rises, forensic investigations, expert witness work, adaptive reuse, and residential design, giving him a broad base from which to solve complex structural challenges.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Civil Engineering from California State University, Chico, and has worked with leading firms including HDR, Culp & Tanner, and RMG Colorado before establishing Frontier Structural Engineering in 2020.
